Looking at different industries, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 13.9 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 14.0%; The electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 538.3 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%; The electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 173.5 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 9.6%; The daily electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 163.1 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%.
From January to July, the total electricity consumption of the whole society reached 5196.5 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%. Looking at different industries, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 71.6 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 12.3%; The electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 3405.4 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%; The electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 936.8 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 9.8%; The daily electricity consumption of urban and rural residents reached 782.7 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 2.1%.
Electricity production has accelerated. In July, the national power generation was 846.2 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 3.6%, which was 0.8 percentage points faster than June. The daily average power generation reached 27.3 billion kilowatt hours. From January to July, the national power generation was 5013 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 3.8%.
In terms of variety, in July, the growth rate of thermal power, nuclear power, and solar power generation declined, while the decline in hydropower narrowed, and the growth rate of wind power changed from negative to positive. Among them, thermal power increased by 7.2% year-on-year, a decrease of 7.0 percentage points from June in growth rate; Water and electricity decreased by 17.5%, which is 16.4 percentage points narrower than in June; Nuclear power increased by 2.9%, a decrease of 10.9 percentage points from June; Wind power increased by 25.0%, compared to a decrease of 1.8% in June; Solar power generation grew by 6.4%, a slowdown of 2.4 percentage points from June.
From the perspective of power supply installation, as of the end of July, the cumulative installed power generation capacity in China was about 2.74 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 11.5%. Among them, the installed capacity of solar power generation is about 490 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 42.9%; The installed capacity of wind power is about 390 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 14.3%. In the first seven months, the newly installed power generation capacity in China exceeded 170 million kilowatts, an increase of 87.73 million kilowatts in production compared to the same period last year. Among them, wind power added 26.31 million kilowatts of installed capacity, an increase of 11.38 million kilowatts in production compared to the same period last year; The newly installed capacity of solar power generation is 97.16 million kilowatts, an increase of 59.43 million kilowatts compared to the same period last year.
From January to July, major power generation enterprises in China completed an investment of 401.3 billion yuan in power engineering, a year-on-year increase of 54.4%. Among them, solar power generation reached 161.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 108.7%; Nuclear power reached 43.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 50.5%. The investment in power grid engineering reached 247.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.4%.
