According to the transcript released by the National Energy Administration, the newly installed capacity of wind and photovoltaic power generation in China reached 1.25 in 2022 × 108kW, breaking through 1 for 3 consecutive years × 108kW, reaching a new historical high.
Data shows that 1.52 new renewable energy installations will be added in 2022 × 108kW, accounting for 76.2% of the country’s newly added power generation installed capacity, has become the mainstay of China’s new power generation installed capacity. Among them, wind power added 3763 × 104 kW, new solar power generation 8 741 × 104 kW, biomass power generation added 334 × 104kW, conventional hydropower added 1507 × 104kW, 880 new pumped storage capacity added × 104kW. By the end of 2022, the installed capacity of renewable energy will reach 12.13 × 108kW, accounting for 47.3% of the total installed power generation in China, an increase of 2.5 percentage points from 2021. Among them, wind power 3.65 × 108kW, solar power generation 3.93 × 108 kW, biomass power generation 0.41 × 108 kW, conventional hydropower 3.68 × 108 kW, pumped storage 0.45 × 108 kW.
It is understood that in 2022, China’s wind and photovoltaic power generation exceeded 1 for the first time × 1012 kW · h, reaching 1.19 × 1012 kW · h, an increase of 2073 compared to 2021 × 108kW · h, a year-on-year increase of 21%, accounting for 13.8% of the total electricity consumption in society, a year-on-year increase of 2 percentage points, close to the domestic electricity consumption of urban and rural residents in China. In 2022, the renewable energy generation will reach 2.7 × 1012 kW · h accounts for 31.6% of the total electricity consumption in society, an increase of 1.7 percentage points from 2021. The role of renewable energy in ensuring energy supply is becoming increasingly evident.
